Basically I want to chat on facebook, and I don't know how to do it via the facebook site.
I know you can link your facebook to your AIM and chat that way, and that's what I've done.
However, I'm running xp with jaws 11, using aim 7.4 since that's what I found on aim.com. Most of the time, jaws won't read the aim windows at all. I have gotten it to read it fine sometimes, but mostly it just doesn't do it.
Is there a way to make the facebook chat accessible? I'm using windows live 2009 probably, but I don't think you can chat with it.
Is the site accessible for chatting at all? I've never been able to figure it out.
Heeelp!
You can use facebook chat with jaws through aim, you just have to make sure you install the scrip that is on the a o l website so that it works with jaws. It will allow you to install it in the jaws 11 directory. Information on the jaws script you need to install and how to link the accounts together can be found at this link.

One final note, make sure you restart jaws and aim after you install the script to make sure that jaws will begin reading properly. If you would like another solution to link all your messengers together, you can use a program called miranda.
i'm using chit-chat for face book
I chat on the regular site just fine. It's a lot easier if you pop out the chat window, which makes it more accessible to clear and close your convos. Let me know if you need help.
I've been using miranda for I thinka year now, and have been using that to chat with people on fb. I thought I gave you the setup file for setting it up once before or something a long time ago kk, you must have gotten rid of it or something
How do you pop out the chat window? I'm curious now as it tends to be a pain just on the regular site.
I've been using miranda for ages. I've got MSN, AIM and facebook chat running all through miranda. Windows live and AIM separately take up so much space.
exactly. nothing like miranda for this type of stuff
You hit enter on the chat link, then arrow down to options and enter, then arrow down to "pop out chat."
To save space, I use Miranda as well. I've got AIM, MSN, and Facebook going through Miranda. Great program.
